3 Ways Jesus Responds to Our Failure

Peter is a fascinating character in the Scriptures. We recognize him as one of the head apostles. Yet the gospels tell the bigger story of Peter. They show a man who failed many times, whom Jesus even said, “Get behind me Satan” to; and yet, we see how Jesus pursued Peter, prayed for Peter, warned Peter that he would deny Him, but that Jesus had interceded for Peter and he would come back.

Just like the Father in the story of the prodigal son, Jesus loves us, runs to us, pursues us, even knowing the our past failures as well as our future failures. Jesus never stops coming after us.

As you follow along feel free to stop and read each of the Scriptures and ask yourself ‘What is the Lord speaking to my heart?”
