Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus said:

28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

As we approach the holiday season, we lovingly anticipate family time, gift giving and food! But with all of these things, we can become very busy and easily distracted in the hurry of it all.

Christian philosopher, Dallas Willard, said, "Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day. We must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from our life." Hurry is the issue underneath so many other issues of our day and age. Outrage culture, chronic anxiety, epidemic of burnout, rise of loneliness, break down of the family, social cohesion, and political polarization to name a few problems. Unreasonable busyness, a multitude of distractions and nagging restlessness are major blocks today within our spiritual lives. - John Mark Comer

What if we slow down and matched our pace of life with His? To take on the easy yoke. An easy life is not an option but an easy yoke is. There is a better way to live. A way to carry the weight of life with ease. A life of love, joy and peace. It's the way of Jesus.

Be encouraged, He sits on the throne!
