Minding the Gap

Zack Nickolson

Matthew 5:14-16 says that we are the light of the world. Jesus said, "A city on a hill cannot be hidden." When we talk about being a light shining the way to Jesus, we don't often include the mission field of public schools. Children are God's treasure. Jesus cares about the children and what we do to shine the light and love of Jesus will not only touch their lives now, but can change a child's entire course of history. Listen now as Zack Nicholson shares about their powerful and practical ministry in Kansas City, Minding the Gap, and shares how we can all be part of reaching the youth of our nation. Shine Bright!. Happy Anniversary: 10 Years at FCC

Pastor Joe & Connie Voss

This week marks 10 years that our pastors Joe and Connie Voss have been serving at Faith Community Church. 10 years that have brought us so much blessing. 10 years that none of us planned...the plan was actually for Pastor Joe to 'fill in'; he was the interim Pastor...BUT GOD! God had a much better plan, and 10 years later we are still so blessed to have Pastor Joe and Connie serving here. As Pastor Joe often says, "I wonder what this will make possible." We don't always know the plan, BUT GOD does. When it is God, it is always better than we could hope or dream. Thank you Pastor Joe and Connie for your faithfulness. We love you: FCC

FCC SERVICES AT A GLANCE

For a quick view of Sunday services, times, nursery options and children’s ministries, click through the Tab’s.

Our traditional service begins Sunday’s at 8:30am. Join us every Sunday Morning and experience our traditional worship service, featuring many of the wonderous and timeless hymns that strengthen our spirits and edified our souls, as we glorified Jesus Christ together.  Then, be edified by the message that is always founded firmly in the Scripture; to plant, water, cultivate, encourage, and lift-up your spirit. [Heb. 4:12; 2 Tim 3:14-17]. Finally, we never end a service without celebrating the community (Common-Unity) we have with one another, in Christ Jesus, by the breaking of bread (His Body) and wine (His Blood – grape juice).[1 Cor. 11:26; Matt. 26:26-28; Acts 2:42].

What is the difference between our Traditional and Contemporary services? Traditional is earlier and the worship features hymns, no drums. The Sermon is the same for both services.

If you are looking for a traditional service to visit, or searching for a church home, consider this a personal invitation to join us this Sunday at 8:30am. We sure would love to meet you.

Our Contemporary service begins Sunday’s at 10:30am. Join us every Sunday morning and experience a service that kicks-off with a worship service featuring a contemporary style song service whose greatest objective is lifting up the name of Jesus and bringing glory to God. At FCC, we believe that there’s just nothing better than coming together, as one body, and joining into that great worship celebration happening in the heavens; as all the inhabitants of heaven and all the believers around the world, join as one, bringing endless glory to our Lord and Savior, our Great God, Jesus Christ. [Hebrews 12:18-24; Rev. 19:6-7; Neh. 9:5-6]. Then, be edified by the message that is always founded firmly in the Scripture; to plant, water, cultivate, encourage, and lift-up your spirit. [Heb. 4:12; 2 Tim 3:14-17].  Finally, we never end a service without celebrating the community (Common-Unity) we have with one another, in Christ Jesus, by the breaking of bread (His Body) and wine (His Blood – grape juice). [1 Cor. 11:26; Matt. 26:26-28; Acts 2:42]

What is the difference between our Traditional and Contemporary services? Traditional is earlier and the worship features hymns, no drums. The Sermon is the same for both services.

If you are looking to visit, or searching for a church to call home, consider this a personal invitation to join us this Sunday at 10:30am.

[Pro Tip: Show us a few minutes early and grab some free coffee and tasty treats]

At FCC, we believe it is important for young adults to have their own special space for worship and ministry, and at the same time be able to join in and find their place in the adult worship experience.  For this reason, we encourage our teen and young adults to join family and friends every Sunday morning in one of our adult worship services.

  • RSM, ‘ROOTED: Student Ministry’, meets every Wednesday at 7:00pm
