The Power of Light!

October ushers in crisp, cool weather, vibrant Fall colors, and pumpkins make their appearance everywhere. The transition of the seasons brings beauty and delight.

The Dark Side also makes its appearance. On the outside, it looks fun-filled, innocent and exciting as witches, monsters, demons, and ghosts become popular yard art. Over the years, it seems to me that gore and wicked images have become much more pronounced, more graphic, and sadly, more accepted. the contrast of light and dark, good and evil is obvious. But even in the middle of all of this, we can be encouraged! Darkness can NEVER overcome light in either the physical world OR the spiritual world. Even if it is a tiny little light, darkness must give way.

This is our opportunity to be the mirror of Jesus, the Light of the world! It can and will defeat all darkness because it is the power of God for salvation. Therefore, be bold and courageous, let your light shine, shine, shine everywhere you go and teach your children to do the same!
