Faith Community Church was founded in 1982 by Philip Wood under the name Community Discipleship Ministries. He and his wife, Cathy, began the ministry by meeting in homes. FCC was started with a heart to fulfill the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:18-20) by making disciples in homes or “communities of heaven”, as he called them. Over the years since its inception, FCC has produced dozens of home-based ministries as well as established a corporate worship experience.
Today, that fellowship still embodies the values of community, mission, and worship. FCC still offers the home-based discipleship experience along with other vibrant congregational expressions. Ultimately, FCC is a community of Christians who celebrate Jesus Christ and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. FCC’s heart is to HEAR the gospel of Jesus Christ, to NARRATE the gospel in our own stories, and then SHARE our story with others in faithful mission.
